That has happened on our 2018 Outback with the passenger side window frequently. Subaru cleaned the track, but it still does it. Must be something about those sensitive Subaru window motors. We sold it last week, because we live in Colorado where it does rain occasionally and can't be caught with the window stuck in the down position.If there was rain the day before and a lot of (road) spray etc, although it's unusual, it's possible that ice formed on the linkage and that can prevent the motor from running. Just in case anytime else finds this thread, it's easy to reset the power windows, just roll window all the way down, then up halfway, then pull the button all the way to the auto position up and hold it until about 5 seconds after the window is fully up. My fix was to power the DCM circuit from a circuit that was active when the ignition was ON. Probe around in the underhood fuse box and find one that's ON only when the key is ON. Using a couple add-a-circuit {Amazon Add-A-Circuit} the DCM is only powered when the key is ON. With this said there are other things that can cause battery drain.

The passenger side window and now the driver side window are being difficult on the 2015 3.6r. When I press the auto-up button they go up and then about 1 cm from the top they both come back to about half open. The auto-up button is pretty much worthless on the passenger side. I have to move the window up inch by inch for it to close.
